Premium 1/2" three strand nylon rope in lengths of 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 ft. is hand spliced into first link of 1/4" Grade 43 ISO high test galvanized chain. ISO short link is ideally suited as windlass chain.
Chain breaking strength approx.10,000 lbs. and rope breaking strength approx. 6400 lbs. Chain weight approx. 7.3 lbs/10ft. Inside width of link of 1/4" chain is .41" and inside length is .85".

Rope Length: Conventional rule is to deploy length of anchor line that is 3-7 times depth of the water plus distance from the water to your bow. If the water is 10' and your bow is 5' above the water for a total of 15' and you deploy 7X you will have used 105'.
Chain Length: We recommend the longest chain that you can comfortably handle.Considerations are use of a windlass, storage space for rope/chain and physical capabilities of crew. Often suggested is making the chain the same length as the boat.
